Just got this earlier today and thought I'd share. Props for being creative but comes off a bit off..

Subj: The Suspense is Killing Me

Chris,

I've tried to contact you several times and the suspense is killing me. It's important to me to know that you have received my emails and phone calls. I want to make sure that I am getting you everything you need to make an informed decision, however I don't want to bother you with endless emails and voice messages.

Please simply reply to this email with just one of the following words typed in the subject line to help me understand how or if I should continue to follow up with you:

*1) IN (I am still "in the market", I just haven't had time to call or email back. Feel free to contact me ASAP)

*2) INFO ( I may be interested if I could get more information and details)

*3) DRIVE ( I am interested in taking this vehicle for a Test Drive)

*4) OUT (I have decided NOT to buy at this time, so, I'm "out of the market" for now)

*5) BOUGHT (Tough luck, I bought a vehicle elsewhere)

*6) JUMP (Leave me alone, go jump in a lake, and don't contact me again unless you are giving away cars)

Thanks for your time!!!

*These were thumbs up, down, smiley, crying and the 0__0 emojis.

I responded back promptly because I felt he may be a bit emotionally distraught if I didn't do so.

So it worked. I got bugged by the Ford guy for a couple weeks. I didn't wind up buying a Focus but if I had I would have gone with anyone else because he was full of lies and super creepy.

I had to change my voicemail after numerous calls from a salesman. "Hi, thanks for calling. If this is Reggie Kilgore from Crown Nissan, please hang up. I am tired of your stupid high pressure sales tactics, and honestly do not want to buy a shitty Murano." I never heard from Reggie again.

You should've replied with the subject "Then I guess I'll be a murderer" and then nothing in the body of the email.

If you really wanted to mess with him you could email him every few days with the subject "Dead yet?" and the body just says "wanna know how long it takes to die from suspense"

High pressure is the worst sales tactic. All it does is create buyers remorse and bad decisions.

I used to piss off my managers all the time when working at Verizon because I refused to hawk over customers and shove over-priced tablets down their throat when they were shopping for free phones. "Going to give you some time to look, not going to hawk over you. Let me know if you have any questions or would like some suggestions." Then the managers really hated it when said customers would tell them how they appreciated that I wasn't pressuring them.

Thats really kind of funny that the managers would be pissed by the customers expressing the kind of sales experience that they would rather have.

Exactly. It was a miserable work atmosphere. Before I left the entire store was called out to the local headquarters to individually meet with HR to find out why everyone had requested to transfer out and everyone else was refusing to get transferred in to our store.

That really does sound shitty. I certainly hope that HR eventually took action to fix all of those issues.

Few people got fired, bunch of people transferred, new manager, etc etc.

It's been a year since I got my new job and I swear my stress levels are 5% of what they were and I've reclaimed a dozen years that that store took off the end of my life. Plus I'm really effing grateful for the job I have now.

Subj: The Suspense is Killing Me

My thought process here is to automatically delete it to let the suspense continue to build and see if that's true or not.
